Let me tell you right now, that I am truly blessed! G-Man loves me so very much, and quite literally allows me to do whatever it is that makes me happy. Thus the multi colored walls in the caravan. I do my level best to make the house as pretty as can be with a very limited budget. All of the interior painting to date has been done with mis tints obtained for five dollars a gallon at Lowes, or with “leftovers” donated by great friends. Here is a picture of my west wall of my kitchen after completing the lime green paint. As you can see the rest of the room “looks like an Easter egg” according to G-Man. Ugh! All that hard work, and so very proud of it just to be told it looks like an Easter egg, oh well. Change is coming!

Well, the rentals came for a visit. Daddy loves projects, and I tell ya, the farm is a veritable treasure trove for him. Our caravan is in need of TLC, and slowly but surely I am staking my claim, marking my territory, and banishing the outdated decor that I sometimes wonder who in their right mind ever thought was in the least bit classy… What were we thinking in the late 80’s and early 90’s? Hunter green and burgundy? YUCK! I am making it a personal goal to permanently remove those colors from my home! I will be fine if I never have to look at them in combination ever again. Daddy Set the tile on the back splash

Used black grout… I love the colors of the tile!

Still waiting on the doors to be made… But the back splash is beautiful!

He also tiled around the window area… Very hard… Lots of cuts… Looks wonderful!

View from the doorway… he also put night lights under all the cabinets… The affect is mesmerizing!

Daddy has almost completed all the trim work on this cabinet… Only thing left to do is the crown, and getting the doors ordered, finished & installed. He also put the finish piece on the area above the lights… It is absolutely beautiful! Before we know it we’ll be ordering the doors and the cabinets will be full. Thanks Daddy for doing such a great job!

The cabinets Daddy built are all installed, this is the view from center front of the doorway looking in… the lights are installed above the sink & look great! We are ready for the “Finish Carpenter” to come in.. Oh yeah.. that’s Daddy too…  Phenomenal job, Daddy!

Left side of doorway… Daddy worked so hard on it all I just have to show all possible views… He did a beautiful job… Never could have gotten such custom work anywhere else!

Right side of cabinets above the sink & dishwasher! They are just gonna be great… shelves will be installed soon & we will be in business!

View from the right side of the doorway, The corner cabinet now has the lazy susans installed, and the upper spice rack is in position… Daddy also got the microwave back in place above the stove. Again, I cannot begin to say how wonderful of a job Daddy has done!

View of the left side of the Kitchen… the refrigerator surround has been installed, and the cabinet above. Truly a beautiful kitchen!  Once all the finish work is done, shelves will be installed then we will be ready to order the doors… Once the doors are installed we will decide on the floors and the back-splash, which both look to be tile at this point.  Again… Daddy has done a wonderful job custom finishing this kitchen & it is absolutely gorgeous so far! One last note… Zack helped carry the majority of the cabinets in from the garage, and helped Daddy get them properly leveled and installed… Thanks Zack!!!

Daddy and Zack completed demo on the upper cabinets yesterday… Zack used power tools, scary!

Today Daddy basically rewired the entire kitchen… insuring that all GFI’s were properly installed. A lotta “fishing” going on in the wiring today!

But everything is ran and labeled and ready for final wiring to be completed tomorrow.

Daddy sure did a great job on the wiring and installing all the GFI’s we are all up to code and hurricane ready with them!
